Sunday Funday – A Haunted Pedal
October 7 @ 9:30 am - 1:00 pm
LACBC is rolling into fall with a Haunted Pedal for October’s Sunday Funday in collaboration with The Crafty Pedal. Meet us on Sunday, October 7th at The Crafty Pedal (755B Valencia St, Los Angeles, CA 90017), a six-minute (1 mile) ride from 7th and Metro center, or a four-minute (1/2 mile) ride from Westlake/MacArthur Park Metro station. We will fuel up with coffee and donuts provided the by this unique combination bike shop & craft boutique. Arrive early to browse through the shop and art gallery, and make some crafts! Plus, 10 lucky folks who sign the online waiver before Sunday will get a free live screen-printed tee courtesy of The Crafty Pedal! Costumes encouraged for you and your bike!
From there, our first stop on this haunted ride is the “Murder House” from season one the FX television series, American Horror Story. Then, we’ll take a short ride over to Rosedale Cemetery, built in 1884, the first cemetery in Los Angeles open to all races and creeds. Many founding Angelenos rest in these beautiful garden grounds. Next, we’ll pedal toward the haunted and infamous Cecil Hotel in Downtown LA, past home of the Night Stalker, and the site of other mysterious happenings. Finally, we’ll ride to Pershing square, where we’ll share stories of the historical haunts of the Millennium Biltmore Hotel.
This ride is a no-drop ride with LACBC Ride Marshals. Riders should be able to keep a 10-12 MPH pace and cover 12 miles. All riders under 18 must wear a helmet. The ride starts and ends at the Crafty Pedal.
Sign our online waiver to save time and trees!
