Action Alert: LANCC Meeting

LACBC was just informed that tomorrow (Saturday) at 10 AM, the LA Neighborhood Council Coalition will vote on whether or not to cease all road safety reconfigurations in the City of LA.  Although the councils themselves cannot pass legislation, a majority vote in favor of this would undoubtedly get the attention of our decision makers, and be used by road safety opponents as proof of their cause for years to come. It is very important that we show up tomorrow and let the Neighborhood Councils know that we do support street safety in LA.

Please join us tomorrow at 10am at:

LADWP Headquarters 111 N. Hope Street
Los Angeles, California 90012

If you are unable to join us in person tomorrow, please send an email to LANCC@EMPOWERLA.ORG to let them know you support road safety for all users!

Let’s stand up and make our voices heard! We deserve safe, healthy neighborhoods!

Hi I live in Pasadena but my work requires I travel in LA frequently. I support making streets safer for pedestrians, people in wheelchairs, people on bikes and using public transportation. I myself am often a motorist and I think lowering speed limits generally would make everyone much safer and actually help traffic flow. .
