BIKE LOCKERS

Bike lockers provide secure parking for those who bike and use mass transit. While cyclists can usually take their bikes on Metrolink and Metro trains and buses, lockers provide another option to aid you in your commute. LACBC manages the following locker programs:
Metro Bike Lockers – Metro provides bicycle lockers for rent at many of the Metro Rail and Metro Orange Line stations. Bicycle locker rentals currently cost $25 per year plus a $50 refundable security key deposit.

Candidates should be organized and have a knack for the details. Good spelling is a must!
Basic Duties:
- Update database with info gathered at outreach events.
- Process new memberships.
- Coordinate member renewal mailings.
- General office duties.

- Compilation of material for web and print news.

Los Angeles County Bicycle Coalition (LACBC) seeks a highly motivated individual for a variety of bicycle infrastructure planning efforts. LACBC is a membership based advocacy organization working to improve the bicycling environment and quality of life in Los Angeles County.
Major tasks include assisting with:
- Implementing Metro and LACBC project developing six non-motorized access plans at transit hubs in Metropolitan Los Angeles serving low-income households.
- Bicycle and pedestrian field audits of six transit hubs throughout Metropolitan Los Angeles.
- Developing six Concept Access Plans that details existing conditions and recommendations.
- Facilitating and organizing two rounds of six stakeholder meetings for community input.
- Writing a final report summarizing existing conditions, recommendations and future improvement.
