OBJECTIVES:
- Develop new database for LACBC.
- Program/develop scripts for certain functions (ex: to allow output of datasets to regions as a PDF).
- Database integration with website, managed user data editing.
- Transfer current database information to online database, as applicable.
- Education of key Staff and Board members into use of database.
- Security of data.
- Capture metrics of members.
- Availability in long-term to develop scripts and/or expand database as needed (compensation per project).
GUIDING PRINCIPLES:
- Clean database architecture with defined, self-defined, and linked fields.
- Easy to use scripts and integration for Staff and Board.
- Design of database to have an expected lifespan of 10 years, minimum.
ONCE HIRED:
- Meet with Outreach Committee and all interested parties in defining needs, fields of database and database architecture. White board session.
- Development of database using SalesForce (NonProfit version).
- Transfer of current database (Filemaker) to applicable fields in new database.
- Integration of database with website functionality.
- Development of database culling or editing scripts for Staff use.
- Education of key Staff and Board in database and script usage.
TIMING
- 2-3 Months for final delivery following hire date.
