2009: City of Los Angeles First Bicycle Count

March 23, 2011
project

Utilizing the help of some UCLA Planning grad students' help, LACBC conducted the first ever Bicyclist and Pedestrian Count for the City of Los Angeles. Prior to 2009, the City never had any data on the numbers of cyclists using it's streets and could not readily identify where bike improvements were most needed. LACBC established a template that will occur again in Fall 2011 and be conducted every two years.
