The Blueprint details recommendations the MTA must take to solve our transportation problems by prioritizing bicycles as a mode of transportation. The two main Blueprint recommendations are increasing funding in the Call for Projects to at least $25 Million per year and passing a Long Range Transportation Plan that strategically plans for bikes.

The Blueprint calls the MTA to increase funding for bicycle projects in the short term and prioritize bicycling as a mode of transportation in the long term.

Los Angeles County has a severely underdeveloped network of safe and enjoyable places to bicycle. Needed bicycling projects are planned in L.A. County, but the MTA is not allocating enough funding to build them." says Ron Milam, Director of the Bike Coalition.
