The Safe & Healthy Streets Forum is a place where Glendale cyclists and pedestrians can ask questions, share information, announce rides or walks, etc. Here are the guidelines that we ask you to observe.
There is no flaming. It is OK to debate with others and defend your point of view, however there is a fine line between doing it in a respectful way and making people feel unwelcome. Always stand up for what you believe in, but do it in a way that won’t lead to unfriendly and bitter rivalries. We should all be friends here, so please argue accordingly.
Do not spam. Only post links to other websites that clearly add to the conversation. If you want to advertise your site, please add a link to your signature.
No sexually explicit material. Simple rule. We’d like for our readers to be able to read the forum at work and at home without fear of retribution.
Be friendly and courteous. Most bad words are filtered out, but some have been overlooked. Just because a word is not filtered does not mean it is allowed. Use your judgment. If you have a really good argument, bad words aren’t necessary to get the point across.
Be considerate of transfer speeds. HTML is currently disabled, but if it is enabled at a later date, the use of is, embedded objects, java and javascript are not welcome. Not everyone has broadband! DO NOT attempt to subvert, modify, or disrupt the normal flow or display of the Support Forum or its content.
