Sunday Funday Ride Exploring the Hollywood Hills
March's Sunday Funday will be an exploration of the Hollywood Hills. The 28-mile route involves about 4000 ft of climbing, featuring a climb up above the famous landmark Hollywood sign and photobombing tourists. Along the way, your ride leader Alex Amerri will share history of the Hollywood Hills, perspectives on the development of Los Angeles as a collision of development grids while overlooking dramatic views. This will be a somewhat challenging ride and is recommended for people who like to climb. Roads may be sometimes narrow and in poor condition; excellent bike handling skills are recommended. What goes up must also come down: confidence in descending is also recommended.
