LACBC Ride to the Rose Parade
Because we will be climbing very tall ladders on a rooftop with no parapet, riders must be comfortable with tall heights and agile enough to make the climb. This ride, combined with the climbing, is not suitable for children under 9.
When: Tuesday, January 1, 2013; Meet at 7:30 AM, Ride at 7:45 AM
Where: Meet at the Heritage Square Gold Line Station in Highland Park at 3545 Pasadena Ave, Los Angeles 90031 (map)
Ride Length: Roughly 8 miles each way (16 total)
Ride Duration: The ride will be less than one hour, but you'll want to factor in how much time you'll be spending watching the parade after the short ride.
Ride Difficulty: Families, though this ride is not suitable for children under 9 years of age. Because we will also be on a rooftop with no parapet, riders must be comfortable with tall heights and climbing up tall ladders.
What to bring: Water, helmet, snacks, warm layers of clothing and accessories, sunglasses, sunscreen, shoes you can climb ladders in, possibly blankets
RSVP: RSVPS are REQUIRED for this ride, as this ride is limited to only 24 people! Priority will be given to current LACBC members and those who RSVP early. Please RSVP with your name, the amount of people you'll be bringing (plus the ages of any children attending), and your phone number to Carol Feucht at firstname.lastname@example.org.
