LA Bike Count 2011: Weekday Shifts

September 2, 2011
event
Tuesday, September 13, 2011 - 7:00am - 6:00pm

This September, LACBC will be conducting the 2nd ever City of LA Bike Count. In 2009 we counted over 14,000 cyclists at 50 intersections throughout the City of LA. It's time to get back out there and do it again! We'll compare this year's counts to 2009 and see if there is an increase or change in cycling in the city. The more data we have on where and how people are riding, the better we can advocate for the bike lanes, bike boulevards, and cycle tracks we need.

Volunteer for the LA Bike Count! We need an army of volunteers to make this happen. The following shifts are available for over 50 locations:

  • Tuesday, September 13th: 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM
  • Tuesday, September 13th: 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
  • Saturday, September 17th: 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM

If you're interested in volunteering, please click here to sign-up or contact Martin Lopez-Iu at martin@la-bike.org. We'll have several volunteer orientation trainings throughout the city before the count.
